HRV Group was established in the year 1982, under designation of Heleno, Ribeiro & Veríssimo, Lda., by the initiative of three specialized technicians, respectively: manufacturing and maintenance of metallic spares parts; installation and maintenance of industrial and electrical equipments and installation and maintenance of complete production lines of compound feed for animals. In this same year HRV was settled in Boavista, Leiria, and had only six employees.
After a successful startup, HRV Group managed to get quickly its reputation in terms of installation and maintenance of production lines for compound feed, having been appointed in 1984 as the company in Portugal with exclusivity representation for brands such as Andritz Feed & BioFuel and Geelen Tecniek, particularly with regard to installation and maintenance of its machines in Portugal. In that same year the company had increased to 12 employees.
In 1987, the group moved to bigger facilities, along the National Road 1 (now IC 2), which had at that time the main connection to the rest of the country. The company also expanded its activities to the supply / processing equipment for the production of compound feed for pet / and acquired the representation of Technipes, international company with recognized competence in the production of equipments for weighing / bagging.
In 1992, HRV group has extended it’s core business, the scope of its activity to the production of complete lines of pellets for animal feed based on food compounds, in addition to the traditional “meals" for animals, and also provide solutions for the chemical industry.
In 2004 HRV Group, decide to invest on the bio-energy sector, developing equipment and process for the production of pellets from biomass with high energy value. Since then, the Group has evolved and expanded its activity in this market segment, which is currently the most important in terms of annual turnover.
Is from this date on that family Veríssimo assumes the entire society.
Currently, HRV group composed by HRV-Equipamentos de Processo, S.A., that divides its activities between the installation of complete production lines for pellets, followed in order of importance by the lines for production of animal feed meal, and finally complete lines for production of feed for pets.
In the chemical sector we have solutions for mortars, expanded clay, plastic granules, salt, sugar, coffee, cereals in general and all solid products to be stored, transported, handled and weighed/ bagged.
Through the development of our business, and having wagered in several sectors over the years HRV acquired skills and the required know-how, and HRV group identified as an opportunity to produce the steel structures and software for the machines installed in the production lines. In this sense were created two more companies, HRV Elétrica, S.A. and VERISTEEL, S.A., giving to HRV-Equipamentos de Processo, S.A. the responsibility for the commercial strategy, networking, maintenance coordination and services as well as Research and Development activities.
